Hi.
Today I've decide to share with everyone this peace of a Dilophosaurus (my favorite of the franchise both the book and films) from the novel. Based on the movie concept art (had to modified the neck a bit though, since the one from the movie has the frill being fold down).
Had a lot of fun coming up with the color scheme and took a little bit of liberty, but still keeping it close to the novel description. The crest is from a toucan's beak, while the body is mostly leopard with a little addition of ocelot. And the bottom part, I really want to bring out the venomous look, so I thought the perfect animal would be a poison dart frog. Always thought there's something cool about them. They're just so vividly striking looking and sleek, but deadly at the same time (this is coming from a ranidaphobic/bufonophobic, but I don't have any problem googling their images. Red eyed tree frogs also I don't have any problem looking at them).
Anyway, hope to be able to finish the others soon and make a comparison chart. It's been long overdue.

I always hoped that there would be a large Dilophosaurus in a Jurassic Park movie, tv show, or video game that would be similar in size to the real life Dinosaurs. Maybe like have a small group of Juveniles obeying the large one as their pack leader perhaps.
